The following two addresses: hukka.furtopia.org/projects/fony/hukka.furtopia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=fonyCurrently return the following message: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /projects/fony/ (or /wiki/doku.php) on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.33 Server at AppStuff Port 80 Is this the end of the Fony project? No message posts on this forum since 2010... Sad to see the end if it is truly over. Thanks, anonymous [AVRRQPYNNZJUY]

After doing a little investigating, I discovered the following two messages on the hosting service for hukka's website: ------------------------------------------------------------ forums.furtopia.org/index.php?topic=40335.0User: WhiteShepherd "furtopia.org Sysop!" Sex: Male Posts: 4517 on: November 24, 2010, 06:04:44 PM After about a decade of web hosting we will be putting on hold the hosting of Furtopia. Increasing costs and loss of support staff to RL have added to the timing of this. However should things improve we may reopen it when updates are finally in place. I plan to keep web hosting live for 3 more months to give members time to fetch any files they may need. Users in difficult times/position may request an extension of hosting time if needed (will be reviewed case by case). It's been a good run. Note: I will NOT be shutting down the Furtopia forums or IRC. These services will be continue as normal. Also if members are unable to get a copy of their site and do not have a local copy they my PM me a request and they will be sent a zipped copy. So, lets hope he moves his website to a new hosting service. Yes, my plan is to establish a new site once I find a suitable host. Fony is not dead, although I'm not currently planning to make any large changes to it. I'll post an announcement and fix the URLs in the board header once I have something online again. Sorry for being a week late, I didn't notice the new postings.

So long as you and your projects are OK, no problem. Good luck finding a suitable hosting service. I have no hosting services that I can suggest, with first hand personal experience, though I have recently visited a few sites that were hosted, coincidentally, at a free hosting site in Europe: TuxFamily.orgTheir only requirement for free hosting is that it be for a free project. I assume that would apply to your Fony project, etc... Also, one other word of encouragement, I recently used Strec once, for the first time, to record something I wanted to get for quite some time. It worked as advertised! Thanks. Lastly, even if there are no updates to Fony, could you possibly put up the fonts that you had collected from others? You previously had stated that you were going to make available some fonts you had. It seems like a good time to put them online, since you are already going to be working on the site again. Thanks again, anonymous [AVRRQPYNNZJUY]

Good to hear everything's fine with the author and Fony! I also thought it's the end when the main site disappeared.
If it means anything, I highly recommend Dreamhost - they're affordable, fast, etc. We were with GoDaddy before and I have nothing nice to say about them... if their site gives you the impression they are used car dealers (no offense to used car dealers), well that's pretty much spot on.
