I'm trying to convert a bitmap with a long line of ansi chars into a bitmap font. I might be a bit noobish, but whatever I try I can't seem to make the glyphs "narrower". My symbols are all 8 by 14 pixels and the thought of manually spacing 255 characters apart is giving me cancer.
Anything I can do?

Hi,
The way to do this is currently a bit counter-intuitive. First, create an empty 8x14 monospaced font. Then go to File | Import | From Bitmap. Open your image, check the Range item and click on the image so that the glyph bounding boxes are positioned on the glyphs properly. Now click on "Grab glyphs" and you should be done.
