First of all, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for making Fony Secondly, I'd like to suggest the addition of a new import option! That is to allow for importing fonts from Bitmap Font Generator software. That freeware generates very structured bitmap font description files. I think it would be great to allow for exchange between the two programs

I'll consider it if I get more requests for such an option. Right now it seems like it's a lot of work for a feature very few have use for.

You may also consider expanding the current TTF import feature implemented in Fony. That import option import the first 256 glyphs only. While as you know, new fonts may have hundreds of glyphs. So, Fony should give the user the option to decide which glyphs to import.
Bitmap Font Generator gives that option to the user and this is why I suggested the addition of the new import feature.

Windows bitmap fonts only support 256 glyphs, hence the limitation. I think the first 256 glyphs in a vector font map to the same glyphs in a bitmap font, too?

I understand the Windows bitmap fonts limit. What I meant is to give the user the option to choose which 256 glyphs to import. The first 256 glyphs in a vector font map match the first 256 glyphs in bitmap font only for latin-based languages encoding, e.g. English. For other encodings, such as symbols or Syriac, this is not the case.

I think a simple popup window with 8 to 10 columns grid will do. The grid will list all avalible glyphs in the source font. The user can use Shift and/or Ctrl keys to select 256 or less glyphs to import.
